When it comes to talent in the world of engineering, constructing a car is one of the possibilities that come to mind, although, perhaps, not the first.
On the 5th of October, we had the opportunity to participate in Madrid Motor Student 2023, an event in which Madrid-based single-seater and motorbike racing teams demonstrated what they had been working on during the previous season. Our team attended with the FUEM XV, a car that was planned to be designed, developed and built in two years, but which we managed to complete in just one. We were also joined by our sponsors, who spent a morning with us and were able to get in the car and take a souvenir photo.
The attendance of major brands looking for potential sponsorship deals and their presence not only added to the professionalism of the event but also gave the students the opportunity to network and explore future collaboration possibilities. In addition, we had the opportunity to be featured in the Spanish media, such as Capital Radio, Rtve, and Cronica Norte, which was a big step forward for us in terms of exposure.
The future of motorsport is constantly evolving and is doing so much faster than it seems. We believe that it is only a matter of bringing people with a passion for the sport, basic knowledge and desire to learn, push the limits, and build a vehicle that can run at over 150km/h without any issues, together. Initiatives such as Cogitim make the things mentioned above, as well as the ability to design, develop and build a single-seater from scratch year after year, possible, through organising events of this kind.
This was just the starting point. We are more than looking forward to the road ahead, and each one of us will continue to push to do our absolute best.
Three... two... one...
